We examined the levels of selenium and key vitamins in patients suffering from obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) without additional health issues. Our study, involving 146 subjects split into different OSA severity levels, aimed to understand how these antioxidants might play a role in OSA's impact on health.
Interestingly, we found that higher concentrations of selenium and vitamin A appeared to bolster the body’s defense against OSA. Although our findings suggest potential benefits, it's important to note that antioxidants alone should not replace conventional treatments for OSA.
